Soccer — major leagues and competitions

Soccer Teams Directory

Every Soccer team that has appeared on the Sportslyx board, with the crest and abbreviation used across match pages, the pick tracker and the AI breakdown. Profiles are refreshed daily from the public schedule feed; team statistics, recent form and head-to-head history live on the match pages.

All Soccer Teams

136 teams on file, listed alphabetically. There are no individual team pages yet, so each card opens the upcoming Soccer matches, where the team’s statistics appear in context.

Under the hood

How Team Profiles Are Built

A team profile is the anchor that keeps a team’s numbers consistent across every page. It is generated from the public feed, not typed in by hand, which is why it is complete for a league within days of the season starting and why it can lag a day when the feed does.

Each day a scheduled job walks the Soccer board, reads every team on it and upserts a profile keyed by the sport and the abbreviation the public feed uses. The crest is stored as its canonical source address and served through a Sportslyx cache, so the image on this page, on the match card and in the pick tracker is the same file. When the feed updates artwork or a display name, the next daily refresh picks it up.

The profile itself is deliberately small. Statistics are not stored on it — they belong to the match, because form, rest and head-to-head history only make sense next to an opponent and a date. What the profile holds is the identity layer that lets the per-match data package find the right team every time:

  • Display name as published by the feed
  • Abbreviation — the key that ties the team to schedule, box score and market lines
  • Canonical crest address, cached and served same-origin
  • A refresh timestamp so stale profiles are visible
  • A namespace for other leagues on the same feed, so shared abbreviations never collide

Soccer profiles span every competition on the public schedule feed — the major European leagues, MLS, domestic cups and international fixtures — so this directory is longer than a single league table and includes national teams that have appeared on the board. Clubs are listed under the name used by the feed, which is why some appear with their full official name.

Data can be delayed or incomplete: a feed outage, a renamed franchise or a relocated club can leave a profile a day behind. The data sources page lists the feeds and their known limits.

Reading the numbers

Team Statistics Explained

The statistics behind every Soccer match page, explained one category at a time on the Soccer statistics page — what each number measures, why it matters in soccer, and how it tends to move the market line.

Team-level categories: goals for and against, chance quality: goals and shots per match, shots and shots on target, home and away form, league position, fixture congestion. Player-level categories: goals and assists, shots per match, key passes, minutes played. Each is shown on the match page with the public market lines and the fair win probability de-vigged from the moneyline, and each is read by the AI breakdown as context rather than as a replacement for the market’s estimate.

Soccer Teams FAQ

Why does the soccer directory include national teams?

Because international fixtures are part of the public schedule feed and appear on the board. A national side gets a profile the first time it is listed, the same way a club does.

Are there individual club pages?

Not yet. Each card links to the upcoming soccer matches, where goal and shot rates, form, venue splits and head-to-head history appear on the match page.

Why do some club names look unusual?

Names follow the public feed, which sometimes uses the full official name or a transliteration. The crest is the feed’s asset, cached and served through Sportslyx; a missing crest falls back to the abbreviation.
