Statistical estimates, graded from the map score
Esports Predictions Powered by Analytics
Every esports prediction on Sportslyx is a statistical estimate anchored to the market: where a book prices the series, the moneyline is de-vigged into a fair win chance, a language model writes the series breakdown around it, and every board read is graded from the final map score and published month by month — wins, losses and one-map pushes alike.

CS2 Predictions
CS2 predictions at Sportslyx start from the series line where a book covers the match, then read form, rosters and tournament context. Reads are graded from the final map score. Most CS2 matches are best-of-three; grand finals are often best-of-five.
Counter-Strike is played as a series of maps, so the format and tournament stage are read first, then form, rosters and the line. A free public bookmaker feed prices the top divisions on the series moneyline, map handicap and total maps; matches it does not cover carry a model estimate marked est. inside the product and no percentage here.

Dota 2 Predictions
Dota 2 predictions start from the series line where a book covers the match and read form, rosters and tournament context; a best-of-two can end 1–1 with no series winner, and a read on it is voided rather than graded. Dota 2 group stages are often best-of-two; playoffs are best-of-three with best-of-five finals.
A 1–1 best-of-two has no series winner, so a read on it is voided rather than graded — it appears neither as a push nor as a loss in the month; the one-map push applies to 1–2 in a best-of-three and 2–3 in a best-of-five. OpenDota serves as a reserve for live and recent series when the primary feed is thin, and the book prices the top events; series it leaves unpriced show no public percentage.

Valorant Predictions
Valorant predictions start from the series line where a book covers the match, then read map pools, form and roster changes. Reads are graded from the final map score. VCT matches are best-of-three; playoff finals are best-of-five.
Roster changes matter in VALORANT because a team’s map pool moves with its players, so the breakdown weighs recent form against who is actually on the server. The public book feed prices the top divisions — VCT-level series — while tier-2 matches sit on the board with schedule and scores but often without a book price, and a match without a price carries no public percentage.

LoL Predictions
LoL predictions start from the series line where a book covers the match and read form, rosters and the league context; best-of-one matches have no one-map push. Regular-season LoL matches are often best-of-one or best-of-three; playoffs and Worlds are best-of-five.
Because a best-of-one has no push, regular-season LoL produces a plainer win-loss line in the record than a best-of-five playoff, where a 2–3 defeat is returned. The board covers LCK, LEC, LPL, LCS, MSI and Worlds through the public feed, with Leaguepedia as a reserve for schedules, and grades every read from the final game score.

Battle royale
PUBG & Fortnite: Why No Match Predictions Yet
A prediction on Sportslyx starts from a two-way market: one series, two teams, a favourite whose price can be de-vigged into a fair chance. A battle royale has none of that, and the site says so instead of dressing up a calendar as coverage.
In a battle royale a lobby holds many teams at once and a tournament is scored across several games by placement and kills or eliminations. There is no head-to-head series, no series favourite and no two-way price to strip of margin, so the market-implied chance that anchors every other page in this cluster cannot be derived. The board therefore places no PUBG or Fortnite reads, and neither game appears in the graded record below — a row that is empty by construction, not by a quiet season.
What Sportslyx covers today is a list of upcoming tournament names from Liquipedia, each linked to its event page; dates, formats, results, standings and lineups are not ingested. Predictions for both games are listed as “soon”. A battle-royale prediction would need a placement model for a whole lobby and a priced market to grade it against; until both exist, the hubs below are tournament lists with honest labels rather than prediction pages.
The head-to-head games above are where the method applies in full: series moneyline, map handicap and total maps from the public book feed, a breakdown for each series, and reads graded from the map score with the one-map push rule stated on every page.
PUBG: what we cover
PUBG events are multi-lobby tournaments (PGS, PGC, PCS) scored by placement and kills — there is no two-team series. PUBG events are multi-lobby tournaments — PGS, PGC and PCS — scored by placement and kills across many games in a 16-team lobby. There is no two-team series and no two-way market to de-vig, so the board places no PUBG reads. Sportslyx lists upcoming tournament names from Liquipedia instead, each linked to its event page.
Learn moreFortnite: what we cover
Competitive Fortnite runs as multi-lobby cups and championships scored by placement and eliminations — no two-team series. Competitive Fortnite runs as cups and championships in lobbies of up to 100 players, scored by placement and eliminations. With no head-to-head series and no two-way market there is nothing to de-vig and nothing to grade, so the board places no Fortnite reads. Upcoming event names are listed as Liquipedia publishes them, each linked to its event page.

Process
How Esports Predictions Work
The pipeline is the same for CS2, Dota 2, Valorant and LoL. The market sets the anchor where a book prices the series, the public feed sets what the model is allowed to say, selection is by expected value, and settlement from the map score closes the loop.
- 1
Ingest the slate
Schedules, live scores, results, rosters, crests, tournament and best-of format come from bo3.gg several times a day, with OpenDota (Dota 2) and Leaguepedia (LoL) as reserves when the primary feed is thin.
- 2
Price the series
A free public bookmaker feed prices the top divisions: series moneyline, map handicap (±1.5) and total maps. Where it does not cover a match, the product uses a calibrated model estimate marked est. — kept inside the product.
- 3
De-vig the line
Where a book line exists, the series moneyline pair is stripped of the bookmaker margin so both sides sum to one hundred percent. That market-implied chance is the only percentage shown on public pages.
- 4
Write the AI breakdown
A language model reads the format, recent form, rosters and tournament context against the line and writes the series analysis — members-only, generated ahead of the first map.
- 5
Select by expected value
Board reads are chosen by expected value with a price floor, so a heavy favourite at a very short price is passed over even when its chance is high. The model’s series edge is shrunk by a calibration factor before it counts.
- 6
Grade from the map score
After the series every read is settled from the final map score: win, loss, or push when the series was lost by exactly one map. The monthly record on this page updates for everyone.
A series read that loses by exactly one map — 1–2 in a best-of-three, 2–3 in a best-of-five — is graded as a push, not a loss. The rule is stated on every esports page because it changes how the published hit rate should be read.
The order matters. Because the market-implied chance is derived from the line before the model writes a word, the breakdown cannot talk itself into a number the market does not support. What the model adds is context — the best-of format, recent series form, roster changes, the stage of the tournament — and an honest account of where the public feed is thin. Per-map win rates and player ratings enter the breakdown only where bo3.gg carries them, and there is no weather and no props; a breakdown that leaned on inputs it does not have would be inventing them, and the pages here do not claim them.
Schedules, live scores, results, rosters and tournaments come from public esports feeds (bo3.gg, with OpenDota and Leaguepedia as reserves); real lines come from a free public bookmaker feed where it covers the match, otherwise the price is a model estimate marked “est.”. The model estimate exists so the board can price a series the book ignores; it stays inside the product, and the public record labels ROI accordingly. Selection is not “take the favourite”: a read is placed when its expected value at the available price clears the floor, after the model’s series edge has been shrunk by a calibration factor, which is why some heavy favourites are passed over.
The grading rules shared with the sports side — one calendar month in UTC, hit rate with pushes excluded, ROI at a flat stake — are written up on the methodology page.
Measurement
Track Prediction Performance
A prediction that is never graded is just an opinion. Every esports board read is measured with the same numbers, over the same period, under rules that are stated before the series starts — including the one rule that is specific to esports.
Hit rate
Wins divided by wins plus losses. Pushes are excluded from both sides of the fraction, so a series lost by exactly one map neither helps nor hurts the percentage.
ROI at a flat stake (partly est. prices)
Every read is assumed to be backed with the same flat stake at the price it was placed at. Where the book did not cover the series, that price is the model estimate, so the figure is labelled partly est. rather than presented as a book-settled return.
The one-map push
A series lost 1–2 in a best-of-three or 2–3 in a best-of-five is returned. It lifts the published hit rate relative to a plain win-loss count, which is why the pushes column is printed next to every percentage instead of folded into it.
The period is one calendar month in UTC, and it is the same period everywhere in the product: the tables on this page, the esports board ledger and a subscriber's personal esports tracker roll over at the same instant. There is no rolling thirty-day window and no all-time figure beside a monthly one, because two periods under one label are how a record gets quietly flattered.
Settlement is mechanical: a scheduled job reads the final map score from the public feed and marks each read as a win, a loss or a push. A best-of-one has no push. Nothing is entered by hand and nothing is removed after the fact. The battle-royale games have no reads to settle, so their absence from the tables is by construction.
The Pick Tracker explains the grading rules shared across the product and holds the sports record; the esports monthly tables live on this page and on the esports hub, and each game's prediction page carries its own six-month table.
- Graded from the final map score in the public feed
- One calendar-month period (UTC) across the whole product
- Series lost by exactly one map graded as a push; best-of-one has no push
- ROI at a flat stake, labelled partly est. where the price was a model estimate
- Board reads chosen by expected value with a price floor
- PUBG and Fortnite outside the record by construction

ROI at a flat stake, partly est. prices; one-map losses are pushes.
Over the six months shown: 1246 settled reads, 695-323-228 W-L-P, a hit rate of 68% with pushes excluded, and an ROI of +9.8% at a flat stake (partly est. prices).
Read these numbers with the same scepticism you would apply to anyone else's. Past results do not predict future results: a strong month is partly variance, and a sample of a few dozen series says very little about a method. Three things specific to esports change how the tables should be read. First, a series lost by exactly one map is a push, so the hit rate runs higher than a plain win-loss count would — the W-L-P column is the honest part of the story. Second, ROI is measured partly at model-estimated prices, because the free public book covers the top divisions and not every series on the board; a month heavy in unpriced series leans harder on est. prices.
Third, coverage is partial by design: the public book prices some divisions and not others, the feed can lag a tournament, and a series without a book line shows no percentage here rather than a made-up one. PUBG and Fortnite have no row because there is nothing to grade. Small samples move fast; wait for volume before drawing conclusions, and treat any month with only a handful of settled series as anecdote.
Esports Predictions FAQ
Are Sportslyx esports predictions betting advice?
No. Every esports prediction on this site is a statistical estimate produced for information and entertainment. Sportslyx is not a sportsbook and not a tout service: the company board is part of every subscription, published before the first map and graded in public, so you can judge the numbers yourself. The service is for adults aged 18 and over.
Where does the percentage on an esports page come from?
From the market. Where a free public bookmaker feed prices the series, the two moneyline prices are converted into fair probabilities by removing the bookmaker margin — the market-implied chance. It is shown only where a book line exists; series the book does not cover carry a model estimate marked est. inside the product, and that estimate is never shown on a public page.
Why is a series lost by exactly one map a push?
A series read that loses by exactly one map — 1–2 in a best-of-three, 2–3 in a best-of-five — is graded as a push, not a loss. The rule is stated on every esports page because it changes how the published hit rate should be read. A best-of-one has no one-map push: the read wins or loses on a single game.
Why is esports ROI labelled “partly est. prices”?
Because the bookmaker feed covers the top divisions but not every series on the board. A board read on an unpriced series is settled at the model estimate it was placed at, so part of the turnover behind the ROI figure is priced by the model rather than by a book. Hit rate is unaffected; ROI carries the label so the number is read for what it is.
Why are there no PUBG or Fortnite predictions?
Both are battle royales: many teams in one lobby, scored by placement and kills or eliminations, with no two-way market and no series favourite. There is nothing to de-vig and nothing to grade as a head-to-head read, so the board places no PUBG or Fortnite reads and neither game is part of the graded record. Sportslyx covers their tournament calendars and results and lists predictions as “soon”.
Do I need an account to see esports predictions?
