Statistical estimates, graded in public

Sports Predictions Powered by Analytics

Every prediction on Sportslyx is a statistical estimate anchored to the market: the line is de-vigged into a fair win probability, a language model writes the matchup breakdown around it, and the result is graded from the official score and published month by month — wins, losses and pushes alike.

NFL Predictions

NFL predictions at Sportslyx start from the market, not against it. Each game gets a win probability derived from the line, an AI breakdown of the matchup and a data-quality tier — then the result is graded and published.

One slate a week means each read carries more weight than in a nightly sport, so the NFL breakdown leans on the injury report, rest days and the closing spread rather than a single box score. Lines are captured through game day, and a read is graded from the official final score the same evening.

Markets covered for NFL: point spread, moneyline and game total. The breakdown reads injury report, team form and rest, market lines and movement, head-to-head history and venue before it is written.

NBA Predictions

NBA predictions are shaped by who is actually playing. Sportslyx folds the injury report, rest situation and market movement into a win probability and an AI breakdown for every game on the slate.

Eighty-two games and a rolling availability list make the NBA a market of late information. The board refreshes as scratches are confirmed and the win probability is re-derived from the moved line; the written breakdown is pre-generated for the slate and cached, so its text is not rewritten when the line moves — the number it shows is the card’s.

Markets covered for NBA: point spread, moneyline and game total. The breakdown reads availability and injury report, pace and efficiency, rest and back-to-backs, market lines and movement and head-to-head history before it is written.

Major League Baseball

MLB Predictions

MLB predictions on Sportslyx weigh the probable starters and both teams’ recent form before anything else. Each game gets a win probability from the moneyline, an AI breakdown and a data-quality tier; the read is graded at the final out.

Baseball runs every day for six months, so MLB reads are where the sample grows fastest. The probable starter drives the moneyline, player props are graded from the box score, and a scratched player is a void rather than a loss — those rules are applied automatically, not by hand.

Markets covered for MLB: moneyline, run line, game total and player props. The breakdown reads probable starting pitchers, recent form, team run scoring and pitching statistics, market lines and movement and head-to-head history before it is written.

National Hockey League

NHL Predictions

NHL predictions are only as good as the goalie news. Sportslyx folds the starting goaltender, rest situation and special-teams numbers into a win probability and an AI breakdown for every game.

Hockey is a low-scoring sport, so the confirmed goaltender and a single power play swing a game more than in any other league on this board. The puck line and total are covered alongside the moneyline, and overtime and shootout results are graded exactly as the market settles them.

Soccer — major leagues and competitions

Soccer Predictions

Soccer predictions on Sportslyx read the three-way market, form, shot data and fixture congestion, then publish a win probability and an AI breakdown for each match. Draws are graded as a push, and that rule is stated openly.

The three-way market changes the arithmetic: the win probability is derived from the 1X2 line, and a drawn match is graded as a push rather than a loss. That rule flatters the published record compared with a true draw-no-bet price, which is why it is stated on every soccer page rather than buried in a footnote.

Markets covered for Soccer: 1X2 match odds, goal totals and draw-no-bet context. The breakdown reads league table and form, goals and shot data, rest and fixture congestion, market odds and movement and head-to-head history before it is written.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

UFC Predictions

UFC predictions on Sportslyx compare striking and grappling profiles, finish rates, reach and recent activity, then publish a win probability and an AI breakdown for every bout on the card.

A fight has no home side and no season shape, so the read is a two-fighter comparison: striking and grappling profiles, finish rates, reach and time since the last bout, set against the moneyline. Cancelled bouts and no-contests are voided and never counted against the record.

Markets covered for UFC: fight moneyline and round total (over/under). The breakdown reads fighter records and finish rates, striking and grappling profiles, reach and stance, layoff and activity and market odds and movement before it is written.

Golf Predictions

Golf previews on Sportslyx weigh current form, made-cut rate and strokes-gained profiles against the outright market, then publish probabilities and an AI preview for the week’s tournament. The company board places no golf reads, so golf sits outside the graded record.

A tournament is one event with a field of more than a hundred players, so the estimate is an outright probability rather than a two-sided win chance. The preview is generated early in the week from recent finishes, made-cut rate, strokes-gained profiles and field strength, then cached; the outright prices on the page follow the market as the field settles. Golf previews are published for information only — golf does not appear in the graded record on the Pick Tracker.

Process

How Sportslyx Predictions Work

The pipeline is the same across the board. The market sets the anchor, the data package sets how much the model is allowed to say, and settlement closes the loop for every team-sport and UFC read. Golf previews are published for information only and sit outside the graded record.

  1. 1

    Ingest the slate

Schedules, lines, injuries, probable starters and box scores are pulled from public feeds several times a day and assembled into one data package per game.

  2. 2

    De-vig the line

The moneyline pair is stripped of the bookmaker margin so both sides sum to one hundred percent. That fair number is the win probability shown on every card.

  3. 3

    Write the AI breakdown

A language model reads the package and the line, then writes the matchup analysis: what the market is pricing, what could move it and where the data is thin.

  4. 4

    Attach a data-quality tier

Each package carries a data-quality tier — rich, partial or weak. A weak tier tells the model to hold back, so a thin injury report never reads like certainty.

  5. 5

    Grade and publish

After the final result every read is settled as a win, loss, push or void, and the monthly record on this page is updated for everyone to see.

The order matters. Because the probability is derived from the line before the model writes a word, the breakdown cannot talk itself into a number the market does not support. What the model adds is context — who is missing, who is rested, how the total has moved, where the head-to-head history is relevant — and an honest account of where the package is thin.

Data quality is treated as an input rather than an afterthought. A game with confirmed starters, full injury reports and a settled line is tagged rich; a game with a partial roster or a line that has not opened is tagged partial or weak, and that tag is fed to the model so its language matches the evidence. Feeds are public and can be delayed, so a probability is shown only when a real line exists.

Measurement

Track Prediction Performance

A prediction that is never graded is just an opinion. Sportslyx measures every read with three numbers, over one period, using rules that are written down before the season starts.

Hit rate

Wins divided by wins plus losses. Pushes are excluded from both sides of the fraction, so a drawn soccer match neither helps nor hurts the percentage.

ROI at a flat stake

Every read is assumed to be backed with the same flat stake at the captured price. ROI is total return divided by total turnover, so a run of short favourites cannot hide behind a high hit rate.

Net result

The company record is graded at a flat stake per read, so a month with many reads and a month with few compare on the same scale. Your personal tracker reports the net result in money at your own stake.

The period is one calendar month in UTC, and it is the same period everywhere in the product: the public tables on this page, the company board ledger and a subscriber's personal tracker all roll over at the same instant. There is no rolling thirty-day window and no all-time figure sitting beside a monthly one, because two periods under one label are how a record gets quietly flattered.

Reads close fifteen minutes after the scheduled start, so nothing is added once a game is under way. Postponed games and cancelled fights are void and removed; an MLB player prop for someone who did not play is void rather than a loss. Every rule that affects the numbers is applied by the settlement job, not by hand.

Read these numbers with the same scepticism you would apply to anyone else's. Past results do not predict future results: a strong month is partly variance, and a sample of a few dozen reads says very little about a method. The company board backs the market favourite on the moneyline by design, so its hit rate is naturally high and its ROI naturally modest — a high percentage at short prices is the expected shape, not evidence of an edge.

Soccer deserves its own caveat. Because a draw is graded as a push, the soccer row shows fewer losses than a draw-no-bet price would produce, and its ROI is inflated relative to how a bookmaker would settle the same reads. A UFC no-contest is void and removed. Golf previews are published for information only — golf does not appear in the graded record on the Pick Tracker, which is why there is no golf row. Small samples move fast; wait for volume before drawing conclusions.

Sports Predictions FAQ

Are Sportslyx sports predictions betting advice?

No. Every prediction on this site is a statistical estimate produced for information and entertainment. Sportslyx is not a sportsbook. No tout service: the company board is part of every subscription, published before the start and graded in public, so you can judge the numbers yourself. The service is for adults aged 18 and over.

Where does the win probability come from?

From the market. The two moneyline prices for a game are converted into fair probabilities by removing the bookmaker margin, so the number you see is what the market implies rather than what a language model claims to feel. The AI breakdown explains the matchup around that anchor; it does not invent the probability.

How is a prediction graded?

Scheduled settlement jobs read the official final score or box score and mark each read as a win, loss, push or void. A draw in soccer is a push, a postponed game or cancelled fight is void and removed, and an MLB player who did not play makes his prop void rather than a loss. Reads close fifteen minutes after the scheduled start. Golf previews are published for information only and are not graded.

Why does the soccer record show pushes?

Soccer is priced on the 1X2 line, and a drawn match is graded as a push. That is more generous than a true draw-no-bet price, so the published soccer ROI runs higher than a bookmaker would settle it. We state this openly because it changes how the hit rate should be read.

How often are the predictions updated?

Schedules, lines and availability refresh through the day from public feeds. AI breakdowns are pre-generated for the upcoming slate and cached; the win probability on the card is derived from the current market line. The breakdown text is not rewritten when a line moves. Feeds can be delayed or incomplete, and a game without a published line is shown without a probability rather than with a made-up one.

Do I need an account to see the predictions?

The public pages show today's slate, the current lines, the market-derived probability and the graded monthly record. The full AI breakdown for each game, the daily company board and personal pick tracking require an account, which starts with a 7-day Pro trial.
